Hi Pat,
No, there isn't a way to stop the duplication of the people at the start
of the duplicate line. Their children, if any, won't show twice with
"don't repeat duplicate lines" ticked but they themselves do.

I'm not sure what Mary is referring to. Perhaps confused with pictures
