Why not simply enter him as an unlinked individual, with no dates, and add the picture to that entry? Since he's not linked I don't see how he'd get into any printouts and if your memory's as short as mine seems to be these days, you can always put "who-the-flip-is-he" into some field that shows when you run down a name list.
