Bill, We have a couple of other people reporting this. Could you do me a favor and backup your file (data portion only, leave the other boxes unchecked) and send a copy of the backup to [email protected] <mailto:[email protected]> Attn: Michele. I haven’t been able to reproduce this on my computer but Jim has been able to. We don’t have the trigger pinned down yet.
Michele Technical Support <mailto:[email protected]> [email protected] <http://www.legacyfamilytree.com> www.legacyfamilytree.com From: William Boswell [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, October 29, 2014 10:36 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [LegacyUG] Export Error in Legacy Build 8.0.0.454 I'm trying to do an export to a GEDCOM file with a limited number of individuals and I keep getting an error message: Error The Message File record # 0 was not found. The steps taken are: 1) I select the person I want to descend from. 2) Select Export and "Produce file for Legacy" is selected. Other items are left at default settings. 3) Record Selection is selected. 4) I want "Selected records contained in the Focus Group" 5) From the GEDCOM Record Section, I selected from "Create Focus Group" 6) From Focus Group, I selected "Add an Individual and Descendants..." 7) The Descendant Options box shows the wrong person. I click change to change it back to the correct person. 8) The Name List pops up with the error message. I did a Check and Repair which seemed to fix the problem until I tried to create another export then the error returned and it's going back to selecting the wrong person again (the same person as before). Now it just crashed on me.
