Yes, do delete the .ldb file. I promise it will not affect your data.

If you use online backup maybe the *.conflict file came about because
you were using Legacy and had the file open during a scheduled backup.

You can see where your data file is stored by clicking on the blue L
Icon or the system menu item. It will list the last file(s) opened and
include the path to each file. You should also see the path and name of
your data file in the title bar of Legacy. The default location for
Legacy 8 data files is a folder named \Legacy Family Tree\Data in your
My Documents or Documents folder depending on your Windows version.
