John, IMO it is best practice to test using the full current version of a program. That means Legacy 8 in the Deluxe (paid) version and/or the full (paid) version of Roots Magic 6. Most of us have spent countless hours over the years entering our data into TMG. It is the repository for our genealogy research. The relatively small amount of cost to purchase one or two new genealogy programs is well worth it for anyone serious about the survival and continuation of their data.
