Thank you for your thoughts. I had started out writing a citation similar
to something that I had found on ancestry (i.e., a website) but found, as you
suggested, that I needed elements of an email. I will look at the results
using an email as the template.

I regard an Ancestry message as a special type of email - besides I
usually find out I have a message via an email from Ancestry. So how do
you cite an email?
There are templates for emails.
