Wonderful.  Somehow "verified" had been checked - now it is not, and the
Source list is visible again.  (From which, it is clear that I am not in the
habit of noting that I have verified any sources.  I will now consider that
facility.)

Open the Master Source List.  Over on the right you will see some checkboxes
just below the Help button.  Make sure that none of these boxes is checked.
