Hi Nancy,

Legacy v8 by default installs itself in a different place to Legacy v7;
you can have both installed and running at the same time.

What you can't do is have the exact same data file open in both at the
same time. But then, the v7 data file is going to be upgraded to the new
format when you open it in v8 (you'll see options when you go to do so
about keeping the original, making a copy, etc), so a v8 file is not
going to open in v7 anyway.

If you want to be absolutely safe, do a backup of the v7 file, make a
copy of the data file, and work with the copy in v8 - but that's
probably overkill (though reassuring that your original file is not
being touched).

Hope this helps. :-)

Wendy
