And did following half fix the problem? C. [email protected] wrote: Yes I deleted the USR files noted. I have only ONE database that I was using..... Besides, I was not doing any updating, just trying to create a descendants chart! gc On Sat, 13 Dec 2014 10:30:26 +0800 Cathy Pinner <[email protected] <mailto:[email protected]>> writes: Hi Gary, Have you looked at and followed this? http://support.legacyfamilytree.com/article/AA-00313/11/Error-Messages-Problems/Error-20002-LEAD-error-invalid-bitmap-handle.html Since data is saved to the database immediately, crashing Legacy doesn't usually result in any data loss unless its the da ta being entered when it crashes. Even then more often than not that data is there on restarting. What is lost is the history for that session. Are you sure you are opening the same database? Cathy [email protected] wrote: I've been getting - ERROR 200002 - LEAD error invalid bitmap handle - when I'm trying to create a descendants report in Legacy 8 (Deluxe edition - latest version update). The only way to exit Legacy is to close the window...loosing any updated information I may have added for that se ssion. A GOOGLE of the error message gives instructions as to HOW to correct it, but not w hat CAUSES it in the first place. After following those corrective measures I still have the issue on occasion. Can someone explain what CAUSES this error situation so that I can avoid it?
