Thanks Jenny, Bobby, and Mike, for the suggestions.
I haven't been using the UserID field for anything so I think I'll use
it. It appears on
the name list and I can search for it.

Bobby and Mike, your idea of a custom event has the advantage of being
able to add additional
information as to why the person is flagged and I could make the event
private. I have
details in the notes now and would need to move them.

I also thought about adding a To Do List entry in a category "Don't
Worry", but I think
I'll keep it simple and just use the UserID.

On the subject of tags: I use 5 permanently to mark the 5 direct lines
in my family file - mine, my
husband's, my ex-husband's and my son's wife and his former wife. We
all have common ancestors
and that shows up in the name list....well at least 3 tags do. I use
the other five for on-going
projects. Once a project is complete, the tag is free. I'm making slow
progress on the projects
because of the "shiny object syndrome" - I tend to go after the next new
thing. So my tags aren't
available. Tags would probably work for most people.

Off to make some UserID entries. Thanks again,

Marnie
