I'll second Dave's suggestion of a fan chart for each person's ancestors. I
did a nine-generation chart for a wedding gift. Think ahead of what
information you want to include -- I used birth years & death years (no
places), and occupations because I thought that was more interesting than
places. (Places could still be included for later generations, space
permitting.) Also consider the typeface you use -- I wanted something
resembling handwriting, and chose a sans serif, narrow font. Cheers, Dee in
