Hi Nan, Welcome. It takes a while to learn all the options in Legacy. One way to learn is to read each screen and pop-up carefully. When you hover over a PP alert, you are told 3 different actions you can take. The last - hold shift and right click takes you to the criteria used for the Potential Problems. Make the change there for the Surnames and all the PP alerts to do with all capital surnames will go away. (It's the last option on the Standardisation Tab)
There's often more than one way to the same place. In this case there are two other ways. From the Tools Ribbon - Potential Problems and from the Reports Ribbon - Other Reports - Potential Problems. Enjoy, Cathy Nan Bailey wrote: > > Hi, I am new to using Legacy and to this group and I was hoping > someone could guide me on how to correct the potential problems > indicated by the red exclamation marks in my legacy program. > > I am used to putting all surnames in upper case and I know I had the > option of checking that was how I wanted it when I bought the program > online.
