I've obviously read more than you have, then. On the first page (most recent 20 reviews) the problems include:
Irritation with Potential Problems feature Report layout issues (at least 3 different ones mentioned) Installation issues (missing DLLs) Research Guidance lost when upgrading Jumbling of complex families (multiple marriages/children) Wife's birth date attributed to husband in report I'm still only trying out the program and haven't experienced those particular issues, but as I've written elsewhere, I have experienced a corruption of some event addresses when importing a .ged file. No-one has been able to explain why, and while this is relatively easy to fix, the worry remains that somewhere along the line I'll find something else that got mangled. No-one has been able to explain the freezing issue either. One comment on Gensoft Reviews with which I do agree is about the way Legacy's website proclaims its superiority over other programs. The comparison chart lists the features of Legacy v.8, but the comparison is not against the currently available versions of other programs. For example, RootsMagic is shown with v.4: this was available from approximately December 2010 to December 2011, and RootsMagic is now at v.7. This is not a fair comparison.
