Thanks Jenny. My annoyance at the feature is exacerbated by the fact that I
tend to work in a split screen mode. Legacy is effectively only half the width
of the monitor screen and the other half is devoted to various research windows
outside of the Legacy program, browsers, documents, pictures, etc. (this works
well with large monitors in excess of 24") While working on any given person, I
am doing the majority of additional work either adding new events or modifying
existing events thus the reason for the mouse constantly hovering in that area.
I don't remember this being a feature in v7.5 and I don't recall this being
mentioned in any "what's new" text about v8.

Strange that the programmers thought it important to allow one to turn off the
Tool Tips Pop-Up feature but left this one out of the Customization menu. Oh
well, if I can't turn it off, then I'm just going to have to remember to move
the mouse out of the Events list.

It seems to only occur when the content of the field is too long to be
displayed in the width available. I suspect it's a feature which cannot be
switched off.

I do wonder at you finding it irritating because I hadn't even realised up to
now that it happens. Obviously I am not in the habit of hovering my mouse
pointer where you do!
