Dear Brian
Thanks for the help on exporting My Focus Group to gedcom. It is not
focused on a single Ancestor and all descendants, it's a complicated group
with multiple heads. Maybe I misunderstood - but it seemed pointless to
return to the Focus Group window and "Remove Descendants". This seemed
much simpler
(1) Create the Search List for Everyone in the Focus Group (1019
individuals)
(2) Clear all Tag 3 (or whichever)
(3) Export All Tag 3 to a New Legacy File.
(4) Export the New Legacy File to gedcom (either include all Private and
Invisible People, or remember the final number will be reduced.
(5) To test, import the new gedcom into Legacy. Hurrah, I still have my
1019 individuals. As far as I can see, no-one is missing or disconnected.
In contrast, a direct File>Export to Gedcom of my Focus Group yields only
742 individuals, a loss of 25% This is a massive loss, I hope Export to
Gedcom is high on the Priority Fix List!
