You do not have to have the produced by Legacy ticked to get the date. There is an option to include the date if you only select Include compiler's information. Included date printed is an option in both sections, Compiler and Credits.
If you include date printer in the compiler section it will be added to the compiler line in this form: "Produced by: Details on the compiler as entered: date" If you select include the date in the credits section of the options then the date will be in the form : "Produced by Legacy on date" and this will cancel the option to include the date in the compiler section.
