Re your question (NB there are no dumb questions!) Each Family Tree created by Legacy (Legacy dubs "Web Pages") can be uploaded as a stand-alone website, and some people do that - no coding needed. However, my personal website at http://cmy.iay.org.uk/, created and maintained by MS FrontPage 2002, incorporates two Family Trees. When I create a set of Legacy Web Pages, I save it into a folder on my computer, where the rest of my site is stored. Creating a link from the Home Page to the Legacy Pages is easy and only required the first time. After that, the Legacy pages can be updated and republished anytime with no effort at all. It's nice to learn some coding, but you can do without it. Now for a dumb question -- is the Legacy you used to create the site the same as Legacy the genealogy software? I wasn't aware you could create a website using the software. Is that the case? If so, are the instructions on how to go about doing that on the software somewhere? I am not at my home computer so I can't check. Was it difficult to do? It would seem you need some experience coding to do it or someone would have to do it for you.
