Do you have the Deluxe version?



I just tried both the Hourglass Chart and the Bow Tie Chart – no problems – you 
need to specify the number of generations above and below the selected couple.  
i.e. you start with the central couple in the standard view then select Legacy 
Charting and the type of Chart.

Sorry, didn't know you wanted grand kids, too.  I don't see any way to do what 
you want other than to create 2 charts and cut and paste.
