Tom, there is a newer build. You might try updating and see if that resolves
the issue. I would suspect the build, rather than your data, since the same
problem occurs with different data files.

Thank you Mel - I did that (twice). Also found I have the same problem using my
laptop, which has the same build, but older data. The results are identical.
There must be something weird in the data, or else my build 8.0.0.427 has a bug.

Tom,

Have you tried resetting to the default settings for this particular report and
see if this clears up your problem?

On the Descendant Book Report Options page, see in the lower right hand corner
the box ‘Reset’

Thanks Susie - glad you solved your problem, but the private box was ok for me.

Anyone have in other ideas? I pulled up a file from 2013, and it has the same
problem.

Hi Tom,

Not the same report but similar problem a few weeks ago [Legacy 8.0.0.459
Deluxe]. I thought I was going nuts as the new events were there where I added
them but only the old events were appearing in the report and not the additions.

I was copying and pasting these events - only minor changes each time [year
etc]. I obviously unintentionally clicked on the PRIVATE box and was then
copying this setting through all the "new" entries. Once un-clicked, they all
appeared as they should.

Check that your problem doesn't have anything to do with Privacy options -
either for people, events, entries, or reports.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Problem With Descendant Book Report

I tried to find an answer to this online, but couldn't. So...

I entered some new data on a relative, George Wilkes Beckett, Jr.

I then ran a descendant book report starting with his father, Georges Wilkes
Beckett. The new data didn't show up in the report. Furthermore, I had checked
the box for all generations, but only two showed up.

I then ran a descendant narrative book report on George Wilkes Beckett, and
everything showed up - all the new data, and through all five generations.

I cannot figure out what is going on. Something obvious, no doubt, but I'm
tearing out my hair trying to figure it out!!

Any help...
