I've never seen this asked before and have been meaning to mention it.
Occasionally when I run a Check/Repair, I get a text report that shows
"inconsistencies found in Names stored as main names in the alternate names
list." I never can figure out what it means especially when I go to the RIN
number and do not find anything unusual. Here is an example of what I
receive:
- Surname ("BOSWELL") for the Individual in RIN 1 doesn't match the
Alternate Name. Individual Surname=BOSWELL, IDNR=481, Soundex=B240,
Alternate Surname=BOSWELL, IDNR=2, Soundex=B240. Changing Alternate to
match Individual Record (m:256)
- Surname ("O'BRIEN") for the Individual in RIN 2 doesn't match the
Alternate Name. Individual Surname=O'BRIEN, IDNR=490, Soundex=O165,
Alternate Surname=O'BRIEN, IDNR=3, Soundex=O165. Changing Alternate to
match Individual Record (m:256)
What is "m:256"? They all have this on the end of the line?
What is it changing if anything?
