Hello Cathy,
Aha! You are indeed correct ... If I search for missing source for only one missing item type (such as birth) it seems to work correctly. I guess I will just have to run the report a dozen times and work from a dozen different reports. Sure would be easier if they could produce a single report that includes all fields and a simple Yes/No indicator to show if that field has a source citation. Thank you for your help! It may be including fields that don't have information. However, I'm getting lists that apply when I look for people missing say Christening sources. I'm getting an accurate (as in none of the people in the list have any sources) list when I search for people who have no sources at all - fortunately not many and most of them are either fake people with the names of Holidays to put on a Calendar or a group where I was trying to work out whether they belonged and for speed was copying sources to notes. I recently worked through the list missing marriage sources. I found often the source was there on one of the spouses but I'd missed clicking the source clipboard bar when entering the actual marriage. I should sl ow down sometimes. The point is, the list was accurate unless it missed some. All the ones it found had missing marriage source. So try one criteria at a time. To me, that's a more useful list to work with. Cathy Erik Dillenkofer wrote: I am baffled … I followed the instructions in the help system for the Missing Source search, but the results I get are IDENTICAL to the Missing Information search (row for row, item for item – identical). The data that is returned in the Missing Source search includes items that I know for a fact have a source citation assigned to them. How can I get an accurate report that shows information which is entered in Legacy but does not have a source citation assigned?
