This "option" would become a nightmare for support. There are too many computer illiterate people who use the software. I could foresee a number of people using a password (simply because they can) and then forgetting what their password is. Of course once they realize they can't access their database, they will blame Legacy for making a password option available.
I can already see all the emails to the list (not counting the ones directly to support) "I used a password on my database, now I don't remember my password - help!!!!!".
