Barton, Just to make sure that a bug hadn't crept in I did this in my own file and everything worked exactly like I expected. So here is what I want you to do.
Close Legacy, reboot your computer and then open Legacy back up. Now do a check/repair on your file. Select File > File Maintenance > Check Repair. Click Proceed. If an error is found select No so that the check/repair will continue. If there are errors found, run the check repair again until there are no errors. If there are any errors that Legacy can't clear automatically, look at the log file that is generated and it will give you the information you need to clear the errors manually. Try the gedcom again and if it doesn't work this time I want you to send an email to [email protected] Put Attn: Michele in the subject line. Make a backup of your file, data portion only, leave the other boxes unchecked. Attach that backup file to the email that you send. As soon as I am done looking at your file to see if I can figure out what is going on I will delete it off of my computer permanently. In the email tell me that your starting person is George D. Lane (I'll forget if you don't). George D Lane shows up and all his children by his 3 wives. Their names are listed as "unknown." His descendants show up down to me but none of his descendants' spouses are listed. What am I doing wrong?
