Don, I went back and looked at you January message on this subject.
1/ I have asked several times for Legacy to have a shared events export option to do this automatically. You should suggest it at http://www.legacyfamilytree.com/Suggest.asp This would the best way to handle it. Even if TNG supported it, that would not solve this for people using Ancestry trees. --> in fact everyone who has this concern should enter this as a suggestion. They do count the number of times something is asked for when prioritizing what to change. 2/ That said, what you are doing is not a shared event but just a copy of the event to the person who has a role in the event. You would get no hyperlink to show all of the people who are attached to the event and what their role in the event might be. Correct me if I am wrong, but what you have done is fine for census events, but does it really work for birth events or baptism or other vital events that are shared? How would it work for a marriage event that is shared? Would the couple become married to their witnesses, parents, minister??? john.
