Gillian,
There is also another way to do this. Legacy starts with a few
built-in lists. These include common Source Types, Event Definitions, Marriage
Statuses, Child Statuses, To-Do Categories, and Temple Names. To restore master
lists to their original contents:
1. Click on File > File Maintenance > List
Cleanup.
2. The first screen you will advise yo to backup. Click the Proceed
button.
3. The next screen is the main Master Lists Cleanup screen.
4.
Under "Keep/Restore Original Values for" select Event Definitions by clicking on
its checkbox.
5. Click the Proceed button and confirm with Yes that you want
to reset the Event Sentences you their default wording.
6. When finished
click the OK button.
