Hello all,
I am using Legacy 8 and have not had any significant problems until I decided
to keep all my genealogy files and photos on OneDrive. I started getting Error
3163 when backing up my media files (file path too long). After rearranging my
folders to eliminate most of my subfolders and still getting this error, I gave
up and just stopped backing up the media files. (I had them in One Drive anyway
so I wasn’t going to loose them.)

Recently I decided to stop using OneDrive and moved my Legacy file and all
genealogy photos to my computer. After moving the files, I relinked all media.
Everything was linked and going smoothly until I tried a backup to my computer
and included the media. My friend 3163 showed up again.

So, I went to Picture Center to check my 3000+ photos. In the Picture Center
Name List many of the already attached photos seem to have 2 paths/targets.
For example:
C:\Users\Elizabeth\Documents\Legacy Family Tree\Data\Branching Out v 2014-media
2014-08-04 8.26.16PM\
Users\Elizabeth\Desktop\Genealogy\1 Jennings Family\Cemetery\Saxon
Cemetery\Fred A Barge Jr. grave.jpg.

If that’s the path, no wonder Legacy says its too long! Can anyone tell me how
to get just 1 path rather than the 2?

Here’s another issue: the second path above is referencing a folder that no
longer exists. I eliminated it in an effort to reduce the number of subfolders.
I believe the path should be C:\Users\Desktop\Genealogy 1\Jennings
Family\Cemetery/Fred A Barge Jr. grave.jpg.
Do I need to unlink everything and start over?

Many Thanks Everyone! I greatly appreciate your suggestions.
