Hi Elizabeth, Did you check the Living setting near the top of the Individual Information for both of them? It sounds like one at least has been set to Living? NO. Anything entered in death or burial fields can trigger the switch in flags and it doesn't switch back automatically by removing the data. Even if you remove it immediately and cancel out of the Edit screen. You might also check for death and burial sources though I don't think the source alone triggers the switch in the living flag.
