Hi Ian, I think you are talking about saved searches.
Legacy 8 appears to be hardwired to save them in ...\Documents\Legacy Family Tree\_AppData\usr I prefer my saved options to be in another folder but have that folder in the _AppData folder rather than elsewhere so it's not a big deal to switch to it for saving and loading. However it probably isn't a big deal to keep them amongst the automatically generated usr files as the "Load" process filters the list to just the relevant group. What storage and logistic reasons stop you changing the folder you save them in? You have to have the folder ...\Documents\Legacy Family Tree\_AppData\ or Legacy doesn't work. If you move it, it is recreated with default settings. They don't take up any more room on your drive if they're in Documents rather than on the Desktop. The \usr folder is opened automatically when you Save the search options and when you Load them so once you moved them from the Desktop, you'd stop getting bruises.
