Hi Cynthia, I add a Placeholder child or children. eg Given name: parent of Tony and Ann with 7.5 you won't get an immediate Potential Problem Alert but with 8 you do but you can choose to mark it not a problem. That way the children are linked to the family even though there is a missing uncertain generation. Cathy
