Jean,

Making the assumption that all the soldiers have a unique Event/Description in
common then I would use Search/Find to create a name list then tag them all and
export the files to a new folder.

Hello,

Background: To my family file, I have added the names of Revolutionary War
soldiers of the same surname(s) as one of my ancestors. I would like to move
those individuals to a new family file that I will name Revolutionary War.
There are a few hundred of these military records, my total family database has
several thousand records.

Question: How do I move individuals [of the same surname] and their supporting
data, sources, and family members to a new database? I do not want my ancestor
or his descendants in this file. Because the surname has several spelling
options I assume the process is the same for each spelling of the surname.

I use the most recent version of Legacy Deluxe: 8.0.0.501.
