Excellent Advice.

I suggest you add - check all Master Lists. View - Master Lists
Some of your clean up tasks are easier and more efficient in the Master
List.

I would also add the Gedcom as a source to every item in the database.
This can be done easily when you are importing the file to your Master
Legacy file. Click the AutoSource button and then choose add source to
all incoming fields that have information. You can create the source to
add when you click Select Master Source.

Note that you don't "export file to Master File" but open the Master
file and then import your new cleaned up file.

I'm not sure how you're doing the Merge. I find it useful to assign much
higher RINs to any incoming file so that if you use the Merge - Find
Duplicates, it's very clear who was in which original file. And I'd have
the new person on the right when merging as you merge right into left.
