Whoever put the personal war diary into a PDF format probably did it solely for the cross-platform compatibility - either that or to forever keep anybody from editing it. One of the major strengths of using a PDF is to combine multiple documents, spreadsheets, and other stuff all into one container saved as a PDF file. Another beauty is that it can eliminate copying and editing of the document which explains why commercial companies like to keep their info in that format. You can even password protect a PDF file. Your diary PDF can be exported from Acrobat as a Word document, RTF, plain text, or even as HTML pages. If you'd like to add the diary to be plainly visible in your Legacy files, then find somebody with Acrobat who can get that done for you.

It is a multiple page document. Because it is multi-pages it would not work as an image (JPG). Unless I attached a separate JPG for each page . . . Of course the diary PDF doc doesn't print in the reports, but at least it is there for my records and personal review. PDFs are also good for backup documentation that you maybe do NOT want to print anyway. Bob On 09/01/2015 15:54, Bob Austen wrote: > > I'm with you on this one Brian but it's a personal choice.
