The file that you had open on your screen when you went to File > Export >
gedcom is the file that will be exported.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Need help with doing a gedcom

I want to make a gedcom of my file to send to someone else.

I have clicked on File

>Export

>gedcom export

>changed the Produce file for from Legacy to gedcom 5.5.1 only

> changed the privacy options to override Private Settings, saved that

>clicked on Select File Name and Start Export

here is where I run into problems:

a screen entitled "Export GEDCOM File" comes up;

the left hand side of the screen is highlighting Documents and the "Save As
type" is indicating GEDCOM (*.ged); the righthand column shows two previous
GEDcoms I have made but there is nothing else showing there and I can't get to
the file I want to put into a gedcom as no files are showing.

Am I missing doing something or do I have a bug in the program?

Thanks,
