For those that live in Tasmania or any other countries that are across the pond from the US, Cathy’s statement, “in the very bottom left corner”, should be translated as “in the very bottom right corner”. J

When you see the square pop up, click it for more information. Legacy 7 and earlier had a date box in this corner which showed the modified date and you could click it for more information. The Legacy 8 layout didn't have room for the box. You'll only get the date you entered a particular piece of information if you've included that in your Source Detail in the Recorded Date box. I stumbled across this year s ago, and now even with program help I still can't lob on to what I want. It might be for example the last time I entered new information for this person, or the dates for each piece of information entered into a Field, be it a Date or Location field. The need might arise for example through a Family Group report I sent to a relative on a particular date, and I want to know what has changed ie what have I entered since then& when did I do it ? Hope that explains things Thanks David in Tasmania Legacy User Group guidelines: http://www.LegacyFamilyTree.com/Etiquette.asp Archived messages after Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Archived messages from old mail server - before Nov. 21 2009: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/ Online technical support: http://support.legacyfamilytree.com Follow Legacy on Facebook (http://www.facebook.com/LegacyFamilyTree) and on our blog (http://news.LegacyFamilyTree.com).
