That would be from my test file. You never know what you will find in there.
It just so happens I am an RN so…

Subject: Re: [LegacyUG] Source for Cause of Death - Transfer from FTM

I absolutely love the cause of death in these two cases. As a nurse, have never
seen the like! LOL

Just to close the loop on this. Dick did submit a GEDCOM created by FTM
to support. In analysing the GEDCOM he supplied we found that FTM uses
two different tags for death cause and does not include any link to
sources for one of those tags.

Case 1: the death has a date and a cause. The GEDCOM contains:
1 DEAT
2 DATE 01 JAN 1850
2 CAUS athlete's foot
but there is no line linking that CAUS to a Source, the next line links
the person to their family.

Case 2: the death has no date but does have a cause. The GEDCOM in this
case contains:
1 _DCAUSE halitosis
2 SOUR @S2@
3 PAGE Page 1, column 1
3 DATA
4 TEXT Snow (White) Pimpernel dies of halitosis after a binge on Limberger
5 CONC cheese.

Legacy correctly imports the data for the 2 SOUR @S2@ and following
lines as the source in case 2 for the cause of death but without a
similar set of links between the 2 CAUS line and a source there is no
way Legacy knows this cause of death has a source.
