Martha,

All I can say is that I looked at the static-page (htm/html) approach of Legacy
and the table-based approach of TNG and decided to go with TNG over a year ago.
The many examples of good-looking websites were the clincher for me -

I have been very happy with my decision, particularly with the ability to
customize my site by adding mods freely available from other users and by
writing a few myself -

Shared events were a problem until now, previously requiring 1.5 hrs of
preprocessing the Legacy-export GED file in Excel to distribute the shared
events before uploading to my TNG site.

My costs have been $45 for the initial TNG purchase and recent upgrade; $100/yr
for the website hosting provider (Simply Hosting, LLC); and $10/yr for my
domain name.

FYI – I agree web work is a lot of fun & addictive – and it does keep my “grey
cells” active. Working in Legacy, researching my family and sourcing my
findings does that too!!

Good Morning,

I am interested in the comment on using TNG as a vehicle for putting a Legacy 8
generated report online.

Legacy offers the option to create htm or html files from our data.

So, why pay 35.00 TNG for the process?

Web work is fun, addicting and keeps the 'little grey cells' active.

Hosting can be on any number of free sites.

Martha
