1. Link Elizabeth to the correct parents. Legacy will remind you she is already
in a family, but go ahead
2. Unlink Elizabeth from the father/unknown wife parents.
3. Unlink William from unknown wife. (This link may disappear when daughter is
unlinked.) You may need to delete unk. wife if the computer thinkks she is a
real person rather than a place holder.
If you do 2. befor you do 1. you may lose track of Elizabeth, which is why I
specified the order.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Help with problem of my own making!!
Hello
I have a William North in my husband’s line who married (1)Sarah Rogers (2)
Elizabeth Jeffreys
By (1) he 7 children and by (2) he had 4 – Elizabeth, Ann, William & John.
The North family feature in several marriages on this tree.
When working on another line I found the daughter Elizabeth married a Crasler
and that she was the daughter of William & Elizabeth North (nee Jeffreys)
I have not as yet worked out what I did incorrectly but somehow have Elizabeth
attached to her father William but the daughter of a new unknown wife
and the marriage of William & Elizabeth (Jeffrey) show only the three later
children.
How do I fix this please – I have actioned merges without causing any such mess
before. I am hoping it is fixable and that someone is able to assist.
It shows up as below:
William North = Sarah Rogers William North = Elizabeth Jeffreys
William North = Unknown wife (no third wife)

correct 7 children only Anne, William & John
Elizabeth (should be eldest daughter of second wife)
With thanks
