I recently had to rebuild my Quick Access Toolbar (for reason which will be discussed in a future post) but I think there is a small <https://www.google.com/search?num=100&lr=&newwindow=1&as_qdr=all&q=innocuou s&spell=1&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwiA89Xn2v3MAhUW_WMKHYaIDr0QvwUIGigA> innocuous bug/mistake in its use. So if anybody else actually uses the Quick Access Toolbar, please see if you can confirm this little problem.
With the Quick Access Toolbar showing, if you hover your mouse over the drop-down gadget on the far right, the mouse tip that appears (if you have mouse tips turned on) says "Customize Quick Access Toolbar". However, that gadget will only move the Quick Access Toolbar either above the Ribbon and also minimize the Ribbon. After trying the impossible to Customize this toolbar and being un-successful, I threw all caution to the wind and decided to actually read the Help files. According to the Help files, in order to customize the Quick Access Toolbar you actually choose Design menu item, select Toolbars, and then select Quick Access Toolbars. OK, makes perfect sense. But what the heck is that mouse tip about Customizing the toolbar back on the gadget in the toolbar itself. There's 3 minutes of my life gone that I'll never get back. J Brian in CA Older but wiser.
