They are probably already linked to the correct father.
The 1/2 in Family view indicates that the kids belong to only one person of the couple who had them with a partner different from the one displayed. In this case they are with the mother and the other partner so they show as 1/2 kids with the new partner. If you look at each child you should see the name of the wife's other partner after their names to tell you who the other partner is.
