Let's just say I'm about to visit my local library and I want to search through the local newspaper death notices/obituary columns.
I only want to search for those folk who died in Tasmania, and in this case, let's say the online newspaper indexes stop at around 1960. Simple, I thought, I'll just get Legacy to do a detailed search, and then do a print-out of the people who currently don't have an obituary notice; I should also say that within my Legacy database I have an Event named Obituary that all newspaper death notices get grouped under. My Search request looked like the following: Individual >> Death Date >> Before >> 30 Dec 1960 AND Individual >> Death Place >> Contains >> Tasmania AND Individual >> Event-Name >> Not Equal to >> Obituary This doesn't appear to work, as the results list gives me people who do have an Obituary event. My question is: Am I doing something wrong here ?
