Jennifer,
One thing that I really miss from v7.5 is when you hovered over a child in the Family View, you could see the full date and place for birth, christening, and death along with the full marriage date with spouse. In v8, you only get to see the spouses name when you hover over the child's name. That was so handy. I know in v8 you can change to a grid view, but if a family has a lot of children, you can't see them all at once in the grid view. It was very handy to quickly hover and see migration of families by where the vital events of the children were taking place. I use the "best fit columns" for my children to display in both v7.5 and v8. That's the only feature I can think of that was lost. Maybe it was the only one that I cared about though. Monique A. Does anyone know? I use Legacy (currently V7.5) as my main database, but regularly upload a GEDCOM to my website generated by TNG. If any of the omissions impact that, I would like to know what they are. I have purchased V8, but no yet installed it as I don't want to convert my data till I know what will happen. I may not do it till V9 comes out as I will get a free upgrade, having purchased V8 only today. My operating system is Windows 7 (and I don't plan to go to Windows 10) Regards, Jennifer www.colston-wenck.com<http://www.colston-wenck.com> -- LegacyUserGroup mailing list [email protected] To manage your subscription and unsubscribe http://legacyusers.com/mailman/listinfo/legacyusergroup_legacyusers.com Archives at: http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
