Press F6. That will bring up the Character map. It does not include many of the characters we need, but it has the complete list of all the ones that Legacy supports...until they accommodate the world.
When you have the Character Map visible, double click on the character you want. That will put it into the "Characters to Return" box at the top of the page. Then click "Return Characters" to the right of that box, and your choice will be inserted wherever your cursor was in your sentence. If you are going to use the character more than once, you may want to copy it somewhere (Notepad, Word, an email, anywhere from which you can then simply copy and paste it again instead of returning to Character Map and duplicate the whole procedure.
