Mika, are you using the free version or Deluxe. I can’t remember if the Index
Tab is displayed in the free version is why I ask.

Either way, look for the INDEX Tab just below the menu bar, click on that tab
and then on ‘Options’ in the upper right hand corner of this window.

Click on ‘Customize’ and here you can choose the columns for the items you want
to display. Once you get it the way you want it, be sure to SAVE and give it a
name so you can LOAD and use it again in future.

If I am not clear, ask again and we will be happy to write out step by step, if
needed.

You can create many different customized views, save them with names that you
will recognize and easily switch between them, depending on what you are
researching at the moment.

Subject: [LegacyUG] Creating an Index List

I came from using the PAF program where I could create an Index of everyone in
my data base where I could have columns: RIN, Surname, Given name, Birth Date,
Death Date, Father, Mother and Spouse. It was done in Alphabetical order.

Is there any way to do this in Legacy? I have been trying all weekend with no
luck.

I would go back and do it in PAF but Windows 10 doesn't work with PAF.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Mika
