Jay,
Take a look at the Marriage Information screen Wording tab.
You can enter overrides. Read it up in the Help.
eg - using the Sample file and writing override sentences for Asa. Note
the superscripts for sources haven't survived the copy and paste.

The original message to the list is in the attachment.
I am unsure how to adjust the sentence verbiage about a second spouse
who was also widowed before they both remarried...
Currently, because in the descendant report of his family, there is no
mention of her first marriage.
Do I need to add some sort of event to help this along as far as having
a place to have some special verbiage?
Currently in the below example (this is a descendant report of Gerrit
Vinkenvleugel's father)
Gerrit next married *Johanna Maria Ermers* [22716],^3 daughter of
*Hermanus Ermers* [41541]and *Wilhelmina Janssen* [41542], on 2 Sep 1861
in St. John's Catholic Church, Little Chute, WI, USA. Johanna was born
on 19 Jan 1801 in Oeffelt, __________, Noord-Brabant, Nld, died on 27
Mar 1874 in Little Chute, Outagamie, WI, USA at age 73, and was buried
_____/_____/_____ in St. John Nepomucene Original Church Cemetery,
Little Chute, Wisconsin.
