Your URL string works OK ("sort of") for me, but I changed the space
substitution to [%20], and I could find a person from my Legacy FT data after
considerable fiddling at the Billion Graves site. See below.
I didn't get a double lot of https:// as reported by Julie Haynie
I had to change the following search parameters at the Billion Graves site,
after it came up with zero -
Exact Match - OFF
Birth Year - leave blank
+/- 5 years - change to +/- 1 year (maybe)
For Australia, it seems that the Where section does need to be filled. Whether
using Legacy FT or not, do not ever use the County field - even if it seems
roughly OK (eg, City of Perth will not find graves at Karrakatta Cemetery;
omitting this section definitely does).
I paid a discounted amount to "join" Billion Graves ("80% discount for the
year"), but it is money badly spent in my opinion. The BG searching at their
sites is pretty useless, and the transcribing or even the accurate / relevant
recording of death date - the most obvious date to get correct - has been
really poor. But this may be the transcribers.
