Ian,

Here's a far simpler solution. Add FAG to your "My Toolbar" by editing the toolbar. Then when you click on the little down arrow on the bottom right corner of the FAG icon the first item on the list is: "Go to Find-a-grave memorial for current person." The search is done and the results are shown in the corresponding new browser tab or window.

I have sent in a request to have the boxes added to the merge fields.

The search from detailed search will take far to long, Now if there were four search criteria allowed........Actually My machine often hangs at three. I use my search tools more than anything else and was still mumbling at having to re-set all of them because new stuff was added.

BTW For the record, I am so far loving 9.

    Ian,

Thanks for pointing that out. I don't think I've ever used the
Query by Example except when following up a query like yours.

I'll check whether an issue has been added for this missing option.

However you'd still need to do two searches or a combined detailed
search while you have FaG numbers both in an Event and in the
    special new box.

If you mean you can't see "Find a Grave ID" in the detailed search
drop down list of where to search, it is there.

It does not show up there either.

I get it, Another Event search. That would make two searches
    until
I complete conversion, Oh Well, Mumble Mumble

Thank you, I will try that for now.

And so now that I have moved some FAG numbers from Events
    I cannot
            search by FAG #?

You can use Detailed Search to search by FAG ID.
