Kris,
You can delete Sources with their Source Citations without doing it one at a time BUT that deletes the Master Source as well. What you could do is to edit the Master Source slightly - just changing the Source List Name is enough - and you may want to change that anyway as that's your finding aid for your Master Sources so the name needs to follow a pattern you set. eg I start with Source type eg Census; Cem; PR for Parish Register ...

When you edit a Master Source and click Save you get the option to apply the change to all instances of the Master Source OR to a new copy. Choose the new copy option. Then return to highlight the original in the Master Source list and click Options - Delete.
It will say it can't be deleted - do you want to see who uses it.
Say yes and on that next screen is a delete anyway button. So that would achieve what I think you say you want. Note that the people using it now have no indication that this source is relevant. So if that's not what you meant, then you need to do them one at a time.

But if your Master Source is fine, then why not just edit the Source Detail?

Sounds like you are actually doing a Go-Over seeing you want to keep things. So don't forget to set tags to say you've "gone over" that person or if you've switched to Legacy 9 you could use a number of hashtags to describe what you've checked.

I'm slowly doing a Go-Over and tag on 9 when I've finished checking sources and doing any further research I want to do at the moment. To keep focussed, I stick to a particular branch. I've just completed one I started in January. That one was mainly in South Australia. I'm looking forward to starting another mainly in England to take advantage particularly of Somerset Parish Registers that are now online. As part of my Go-Over I'm checking all transcriptions I've used where possible.

I did the export/import GEDCOM but lost all the Master Sources in the
process. I've also experimented with the search list -- but it wants
confirmation for each and every delete. I'll be dead before that gets
done.

I'm sure the export/import GEDCOM is the way to go, but I'm not sure
which items to remove from the export.

Thanks!
