FamilySearch is different (in many ways). To get a FamilySearch hint that person has to have an FSID entered in Legacy which means you have already linked your person to that same person on FamilySearch (that does NOT mean that there was actual data transfer in either direction). When you get a FamilySearch hint you are taken straight to that person’s record matching page. FamilySearch is basically asking you, does this record match your guy? If it does, you can tell FamilySearch to add that records to that person with that FSID number on FamilySearch. You don’t have to do this but those people who work with the Family Tree on FamilySearch normally will do this.
