Crystal,

One way that some find helpful is to copy their family file (you can use File - Save As) and unlink the required branch from the rest of the tree. Then use View - Trees (remembering to Refresh it) and then tag and delete the other "trees".

Another way is to tag the branches you want to export (using Advanced Tagging) and export (File - Export to - Legacy file) the tag group to a new Legacy file. Which Advanced Tagging options work depend on how many links there are between branches in your tree (more than one marriage between branches).

Which ever way you go, you may want to read up on Intellishare which can be used when people collaborate so long as the files they are using originated with the same Legacy file.

I hate to ask this question because I know the answer is in the help

Please bear with me.

My cousin would like to start helping on our shared line of research.
What is the easiest way for me to share our common line with her. I
thought about tagging our common line with a 1 and then mass deleting
the non marked names. Is there a more simple option, an preferably
can someone tell me what term to search for.
