Donna your have touched on my thoughts as I do as you do for my website www.thekingscandlesticks.com
Legacy users who generate HTML content for websites from their Legacy program need in my view to make ourselves heard at this time of change. I have recently had trouble as my settings and content saved for Pedigree pages in Books, kept getting corrupted but that now seems OK – computers, but probably an operator problem !! I have been with Legacy practically since its inception. Besides using Legacy for recording research and writing reports, I use Legacy to create my own website, which I then upload to GoDaddy, a regular non-genealogy related web host. This gives me complete flexibility in the creation and ownership of my website. Since MyHeritage pushes family trees on its own site, will Legacy continue to give us the capability of creating a genealogy website of our own with the Legacy software? Is Legacy the only genealogy software that allows you to create your website independently and then upload it to a regular non-genealogy related host? Any thoughts on this? Regards, Donna
